A new mini package for Oui FM centred on a simple but effective sonic logo we created. We combined an arsenal of guitars, amps and synths with a sprinkling of sound design elements to create a distinct new feel to the sound of Paris's top rock radio station.

A slight deviation of the Oui FM sound for this package, with a conscious decision to pull the energy back a little. The guys at Oui split their music into genres for us to work with (modern rock, 90s rock, French rock, trip hop, etc) and we went on to create IDs specifically designed to work across these different strands of Oui FM's playlist. Breaking convention, all the cuts were given a soft start, to enable seamless segues on-air between the music and the branding.
The demo contains the full length versions of the cuts.

Just when you thought Oui's imaging couldn't get any bigger. Consolidating the unique branding sound we devised the previous year, smashed snares and warped guitars define a sound that's pumping with energy.
We trawled old news reel archives to find some fantastic and unique clips, creatively edited to twist their meaning. As our clients have come to expect, all music and FX/sound design was composed and produced in-house specifically for this project.

Better, stronger, harder pretty much sums up where we took Oui FM's branding in 2004. It's a package that's dark and relentlessly tough, with a production sound that really captures the zeitgeist.
After receiving a long and detailed brief it was made clear the only real prerequisite from the production guys at Oui was that they wanted the IDs littered with swearing and drug references. We were of course happy to oblige.

Pounding drums, dangerously distorted guitars, and severe sonic mangling. This package is huge.
